Yellowstone National Park is located 1 hour South of Big Sky, Montana. The West Entrance is normally open to car traffic from mid-April to late October each year and open to snowcoach and snowmobile tours from mid-December to mid-March each year. The North Entrance (located in Gardiner, Montana) provides access to the park all year, but in the winter months most interior park roads are closed to car traffic.
